Space Junk
Students create satellites, rovers, space shuttles, telescopes, space stations out of "junk" and other recycled materials. They are modeled after existing space hardware and man made equipment, with obvious creative differences. Students must also draw a detailed diagram of their model using scientific terminology to label the parts. they must then write a few paragraphs describing the way their equipment works and the function of the parts. This should be grounded in scientific knowledge and language.
