Roman Project 
Students will be able to select a famous person and write a report combined with an oral presentation,or produce a travel brochure on Rome and present it in an oral presentation, or do a power point presentation and orally present it to the class, or build a model of an important person, discovery, invention, or contribution during the Roman Period and present it with an oral presentation. Students will research the famous person or model and transfer that demonstrated knowledge, concepts, and understanding of how the person or model has contributed to technology today in giving a short 2-4 minute presentation.

The students uses a list of steps in creating their Roman project.

The student fails to create or present a project.
Weight 1- 2

The student creates/presents the model/Report/Power point/Brochure, and communicates within the 2-4 minute time period. They know how most of the model works. They read from their note cards and occasionally look at the audience.

The student creates the project according to plans and with the use note cards at time briefly,and communicates in a clear concise manner within the 2-4 minute time period. The presentation is well organized and is logically developed with no major errors.
Weight 5 - 6

The model/project and presentation are created to plan using appropriate materials. They communicate the project in a well developed and logical manner within the 2-4 min time period. The presentation leaves the listener wishing that that there more time for the presentation.Dressed in Roman attire, the presentation is clear,concise, and effective language while using good eye to eye contact.The student presents the model/person without the use of any note cards.
