Mosaic 
Students will create a design and create a mosaic using Google Drawings in the style of Alma Thomas. They will demonstrate an understanding of the application and style, as well as demonstrating an understanding of color psychology.

The student's work demonstrates originality. The student has created several sketches or thumbnails in an effort to work though problem-solving.

The student's work demonstrates originality and shows evidence of planning and problem-solving through complex sketches or thumbnails that show the process of thought.

The student did not finish work.
Level 2

The student did not finish work in satisfactory manner. Organization of tiles is poor.
Level 3

The student finished the project but it lacked finished touches. The project could be improved upon with little effort. Organization of tiles is minimal. Student did not consider contrast when choosing grout color.
Level 4

The student completed the project in an above average manner, yet more could have been done. Tiles are organized well. Student considered contrast when choosing grout color.
Level 5

The student gave an effort far beyond the requirements of the project. Tiles are organized in a complex manner. Student made careful selection of grout color to maximize design.
