Jazz Dance Choreography Project Modern Dance Choreography Project Work alone or in small groups to create dances with structural and aesthetic criteria. Dancers will be able to create a 45 second-1:30 piece of Jazz Dance choreography that includes a minimum of 10 jazz dance movements from our vocabulary list. Jazz Movement	Needs Work No jazz dance movement was chosen.	In-Progress There was an attempt to create a Jazz dance, but the movements are not specific enough to recognize.	Good There was a strong effort to include Jazz dance movements, but were not apparent or complete.	Excellent There was a strong effort and clarity to include 10 or more jazz dance movements in the piece.
Entertainment/Energy	Needs Work There is a severe lack of energy and enthusiasm in the dance.	In-Progress There are hints of high energy, but they are not consistent or shared by all members.	Good There is a strong level of energy, but may not evoke a "Jazzy" feeling.	Excellent The entire piece is full of high energy, is very entertaining to watch, and exemplifies a total sense of Jazz dance.
