Product Photography 
Students will take 5 photos total exploring product photography, and bringing together all the compositional and lighting rules they have learned. The challenge with product photography is the product is the subject instead of the person. Where in the past, our main concern was always the person.

Leading Lines

Good

Student used leading lines in their image to their advantage, and the lines that are present clearly direct the viewer toward the subject.

Poor

Leading lines direct the viewer away from the subject.Comments are made on the photos that could be improved.
Viewpoint

Good

Student used birds eye, worms eye, or eye level and made sure their viewpoint did not cause the background to be full of distracting items.
Fair

Strong view point used, but in some of the frames the pose would have been more flattering or the background would not have been as distracting if the photographer had moved. Comments are made on the photos that could be improved.
Poor

Unflattering viewpoint and the background distracts from the subject. Comments are made on the photos that could be improved.
Lighting

Good

Student used flattering lighting on the subject. In the headshots, the subject is well lit but still has shadows and depth. No detail is lost in the headshots.
In the group photos, subjects are evenly lit and receive the same amount of lighting.
Fair

Lighting in the majority of the images is good, but others fall into the poor category. Comments are made on the photos that could be improved.
Poor

Subjects are in the dark, group photos have uneven lighting, subjects are in harsh lighting, subjects are backlit and therefore are in the shadows. Comments are made on the photos that could be improved.
