7th Grade: Drawstring Bag Evaluation
This rubric is for a Drawstring Bag project in which different sewing techniques were demonstrated: Pinning, Cutting, Ironing, Measuring, Machine Sewing of seams: straight and zig-zag stitches, and Pulling Cord properly through both sides of openings.

Sewing Machine Area Left Clean

Always left Sewing area and tool box neat and tidy, making sure that correct objects were in tool box, sewing machine area was left clean, threads and bobbins put away, chair pushed in, and project in drawer. Also, often helped others to do the same.

Almost always left sewing area clean and tidy with tool box organized and project stowed away properly in drawer.

Needed many reminders to put things where they belonged before leaving class to ensure an organized tool box and clean sewing area.

Always displayed a positive attitude about doing your best and helped others have a positive attitude as well.

Struggled to maintain a positive attitude and sometimes complained about work that needed to be done.
