Picture of setting	Advanced Picture is detailed and well done. It is obvious that the artists put a lot of effort into it.	Proficient Picture is neat and easy to determine what artists wanted people to see. Would be advanced with a little more detail.	Partially Proficient Picture is general and includes few details. Artists could have improved their work with a little more time and attention to detail.	Unsatisfactory Picture is not there or is incomplete.
Time Period	Advanced Authors include a lot of detailed information about the time period and how it impacts the main character. They may even relate it to how their lives are different than the setting of the book.	Proficient Authors include some good detailed information about the time period. They give general information about how it relates the the main character.	Partially Proficient Authors have very general information about the time period and do not relate it back to the main character.	Unsatisfactory Authors did not complete this section or give very limited information on the time period.
Opinion of Book	Advanced Authors presents their opinion in a detailed way with specific reasons or facts to help us understand their point of view.	Proficient Author presents opinion and general details to support their reasons for liking or disliking the book.	Partially Proficient Author gives their opinion of the book but does not back it up with specific reasons or details.	Unsatisfactory No opinion is given either for or against the book.
Comics	Advanced Comics are well drawn and easy to follow and include a lot of detail. It is obvious that the authors/artists put a lot of effort into it.	Proficient Comics are readable and include general information that relates to the book. Artists/authors could have added a few more details to improve the comic.	Partially Proficient Comics are general. May be somewhat difficult to read and understand as neatness was not given a lot of attention.	Unsatisfactory Comics are not completed or are not readable.
