Funding College Students show different ways to pay for college through scholarships, working or other ways.	Emerging Students find some scholarships to pay for college.	Developing Students have found several scholarships and an alternative way to pay for college.	Proficient Students has at least 10 scholarships and has found multiple different methods to help pay for college.	Advanced Student demonstrates an understanding of making college less expensive by finding at least 10 scholarships and several different methods to help pay for college. They are persuasive in why their plan will be beneficial.
Planning and paying for College Students will choose a college. They will explain why they choose that college and how they plan on making college affordable.	Emerging Students choose a college and explained how much it costs to attend.	Developing Students choose a college and explain why they wish to attend that college and how expensive it is.	Proficient Students explain and show evidence for why they choose their specific college that they wish to attend. They can explain why and how to make the college affordable.	Advanced Students are persuasive in their reasons for attending the college of their choice. Their explanations are clear and precise and they can answer any questions. They are convincing about the effectiveness of their plan and why people should attend the college they chose.
Loans costing more than you think Students will demonstrate how compound interest creates greater debt.	Emerging Students show some knowledge of compound interest but they did the math incorrectly so that the monthly payment does not cover the actual student loans. They don't know how compound interest will make them pay more over time.	Developing Students have numbers to show how much it costs per month to pay off student loans, how much they pay in interest and how paying interest cost more then their loan. There are some errors in their calculations.	Proficient Students have numbers to show how much it costs per month to pay off student loans and how much they pay in interest. All calculations are correct and they can explain how they found these calculations and what they mean.	Advanced Students have numbers to show how much it costs per month to pay off student loans and how much they pay in interest. How much you can save from getting help in paying for college through scholarships, Pell Grant and other ways of paying for college besides taking out loans. All calculations are correct and they can explain how they found these calculations and what they mean.
Presentation Students are professionally dressed, have visuals and clear communication.	Emerging Students are not dressed appropriately for presentations, do not have visuals and are not clear in their communication of their future plans.	Developing Students are dressed professionally, have some visuals and present their information, but it is in a confusing and unorganized manner. They are not able to answer questions dealing with their presentation.	Proficient Dressed professionally, language is appropriate for the audience. There are relevant and entertaining visuals. Student is able to answer most questions but has trouble answering some questions and making explanations clear. When presenting, information is a little hard to follow, but the audience can still get the general idea.	Advanced Dressed professionally, language is appropriate for the audience, there are visuals that are entertaining. Has eye contact with the audience they are presenting to and are able to answer questions. When presenting, information is clear, organized, and easy to follow.
