A rubric for grading the process and creation of poetry that utilizes three different movements/isms studied in class: AKA Workshop III

Self Study Annotations Have you annotated the sample poems you found from the three movements?	Does Not Meet Standards Fewer than three poems--one from each of the the selected movements--are analyzed.	Approaches Standards Three sample poems are annotated, but treatment is less than thorough.	Exceeds Standards All of the samples are annotated in such a way as to show mastery of each poem.
Depth of Analysis Have you gone further than just noting the terminology in your poems?	Does Not Meet Standards Analysis of sample poems just skims the surface.	Approaches Standards Analysis shows some depth but is still incomplete.	Exceeds Standards Analysis shows good depth and is complete. Poems have been deconstructed and big ideas are explored.
Process Log
Process Log Keep track of your creative writing process by showing multiple drafts.	Does Not Meet Standards Log shows none or minimal process.	Approaches Standards Log attempts to show process, but changes in drafts are minimal or surface level. Revisions A, B, and C show few significant changes.	Exceeds Standards Depth of poetry construction process is highlighted by process log. Revisions are thoughtful and generate new ideas/fluency/word choice/etc. based on feedback from Wows/Wonders as well as the article prompts.

Content	Does Not Meet Standards Poetry you created demonstrates minimal understanding of movements/isms.	Approaches Standards Poetry demonstrates some understanding of all three movements/isms, but does not showcase that distinctly through the subject matter, tone, use of standard literary devices for the time, etc.	Exceeds Standards Poetry demonstrates effective understanding of all assigned movements/isms and showcases that distinctly through the subject matter, tone, use of standard literary devices of the time, etc.
Creativity	Does Not Meet Standards Writing contains many cliche ideas and an uninspired style.	Approaches Standards Writing is somewhat creative. Some new and imaginative ideas. Good writing.	Exceeds Standards Writing is extremely creative. Ideas and style are refreshing, imaginative, and reflect the movement/ism. Talented writing.
Word Choice	Does Not Meet Standards Poor word choice and descriptions throughout. Elementary word choices and/or many words misused.	Approaches Standards Some strong words and descriptions. Many words are above average and used appropriately throughout the work.	Exceeds Standards Strong, vivid words and descriptions throughout. Words are above average, and used appropriately throughout the work.
Conventions	Does Not Meet Standards There are enough conventions errors that they impact the meaning.	Approaches Standards There are a few convention errors, however it does not take away from the overall quality of the writing assignment.	Exceeds Standards Proper use of conventions is employed consistently throughout the writing assignment.
