Animal Stapleless Book Project

ELACC.3.W.7 Conduct short research projects that build knowledge about a topic. Students used books and internet sources to research their project. The students then typed their books and found pictures to correspond. The students presented their projects to their typically developing peers.

Book Students create a book that exhibits the animal and its sources of food and shelter.	Poor Does not exhibit sources of food, water, and shelter. Animal and habitat were not labeled.	Fair Exhibited some sources (food, water and shelter), but not all. Animal or habitat was not labeled.	Good Exhibited all sources of food, water, and shelter. Animal and habitat were labeled.
Oral Presentation Students present information by reading loudly and clearly without help from teacher.	Poor Did not read note cards on their own. Adults and peers could not understand information being presented.	Fair Read some note cards on their own and could be understood.	Good Read note cards clearly with minimal assistance from the teacher and was easily understood.
Prompts Amount of prompts needed to complete the project. Without these prompts project would not have been valid or complete.	Poor 3-6 prompts	Fair 1-2prompts	Good 0 prompts
