Choose a super hero/villain photo. Cut your project paper to double the size of the chosen photo. Draw a 2 inch grid over the project paper. Draw the chosen photo onto the project paper following what is in each grid square.

Required Elements Choose a super hero/villain photo. Cut your project paper to double the size of the chosen photo. Draw a 2 inch grid over the project paper. Draw the chosen photo onto the project paper following what is in each grid square.	Excellent Student incorporated all the required elements of the project. Artwork satisfactorily meets all project requirements listed.	Good Student incorporated some the required elements of the project. Missing one element. Artwork nearly meets all project requirements listed. 1 or more requirements may be in progress but not yet proficient.	Fair Student did not include all of the required elements of the project. Artwork does not yet meet the project requirements listed. 1 or more requirements are missing or incomplete.
Timeliness Student used his/her time well and worked efficiently.	Excellent Student was focused and on-task throughout the project and maximized use of class time. Work demonstrates the best possible effort.	Good Student was most often on-task during class throughout each day of the studio project. Work shows a good amount of effort.	Fair Student was often off-task during class and/or had absences and did not attempt to catch up. Work does not yet reflect enough effort.
Craftsmanship Student's art is tidy and carefully made.	Excellent Student's work demonstrates mastery of the technique(s) covered and growth in technical ability. Work exhibits excellent craftsmanship.	Good Student's work demonstrates proficient use of the technique(s) used for this project. Work exhibits some attention to detail.	Fair Student's work does not yet show proficient use of the technique(s) covered. Work has technical flaws and may appear rushed or unfinished.
Creativity/Originality/Effort Student used their own ideas. Student's art looks complete.They spent a great deal of time sketching, constructing, painting, etc. There were numerous days of studio time allowed for this project and the student's work reflects that fact.	Excellent Student's work is extremely original, imaginative, and inventive. Student really thought “outside the box” with success. Student was able to effectively problem solve any challenges. Student kept improving the work rather than stopping at “good enough.”	Good Student's work includes some imaginative ideas. The work shows at attempt at experimentation and/or risk taking, but with limited success. Student attempted to problem solve any challenges with limited success. Student asked for some help from instructor and/or peers as needed.	Fair Imaginative ideas are not yet present. It does not show an attempt at experimentation and/or risk taking. Work may directly copy examples. When faced with a challenge, the student appeared to ignore the problem or give up. Student needed help but may not have asked.
