Create a pinch pot and turn it into a monster. 1. Monster is created using the pinch method with uniform thickness of approx. 1⁄4”. 2. Score and slip were used to attach features to the monster. 3. Bowl is functional – can hold candy, jewelry, be a planter, etc. 4. Body of monster is covered with textures and finished with paint. 5. Monster must have at least two facial features (eyes, mouth, nose, etc.) and appendages (arms, legs, fins, etc.) These must be sculpted, not painted.

Create a food package collage in the style of artist Michael Albert. Requirements: Display a message, poem, song lyric, etc.; Create a new image from the pieces; OR Be an abstracted version of the original package. No gaps between pieces bigger than a quarter. Pieces must be smaller than a dollar bill. Words/letters must be separated (cut apart.) Attach pieces to a piece of cardboard. Prep cardboard with gesso, then paint. Choose a color that pairs well with your pieces.
