Content & Ideas	Level 4 The ideas and/or events are intentionally chosen for the context established. Supporting details are specific, original and generally effective.	Level 3 The ideas and/or events are adequate for the context established. Supporting details are accurate and explanations are logical.	Level 2 The ideas and/or events are adequate for the context established. Supporting details are general and may be predictable.	Level 1 Is beginning to approximate writing with simple ideas, but lacks detail. The purpose or point of view unclear. Ideas are not developed.
Organization	Level 4 Events and/or details are developed in complete sentences/paragraphs, in a purposeful order, and coherence is generally maintained.	Level 3 Events and/or details are developed in a good order, using complete sentences, although coherence may falter occasionally.	Level 2 Sometimes attempt to organize words, and sentences in sequence to demonstrate some understanding and communicate some simple meaning.
