Understand	Beginning I can recognize the purpose the model.	Developing I can interpret/predict the purpose of the model and how it relates to the system it represents.	Advancing I can cite evidence from the model and how it explains the function of the system.	Sustaining I can apply concepts from the model to communicate relationships between different components of the system.
Use it to answer a prompt	Beginning I can tell how it relates to the system it represents.	Developing I can summarize what would happen by using the model.	Advancing I can construct a prediction regarding the relationships between parts of the system that the model represents.	Sustaining I can state my hypothesis (Claim), and justify my hypothesis using details about the model. I use arrows, descriptions, and keys for the viewer to review to understand how the system works.
