A short report that does not tell very much about the book.
Fair

3 paragraphs with each paragraph containing 3 or 4 good points.

4 to 5 well thought out paragraphs with 5 or 6 excellent points in each paragraph.
Quality of the Report

Poor

Book report not carefully written. Ideas are presented but they are not developed. The author of the report is not clear on what the book is about.
Fair

The writer has given some thought about the report. Interesting sentences are used, and the sentences vary in length. Good word useage makes the report enjoyable to read.
Good

Excellent thoughts have gone into this report. The writer has new insights into the book he or she has read. Powerful word useage is used that make the book report an outstanding project.
Punctuation

Poor

Poor sentence structure, punctuation is often missing, and no proof reading has been done.
Fair

Punctuation is consistent and the paper has been proof read. There may be a few mistakes, but most of the grammar is correct.
Good

Punctuation is excellent. Proof reading has been complete. A final copy has been made with all corrections complete. (not a lot of erasing on the final paper)
