Sorting Characteristics Sorting nine various characteristics into the correct community type (urban, rural, and suburban).	Needs Improvment Does not show understanding of community characteristics (unable to sort any of the characteristics into the correct community categories).	Developing Shows little understanding by sorting 1-3 characteristics into the correct community category.	Good Shows somewhat of an understanding by sorting four to seven characteristics into the correct community category.	Excellent Shows a strong understanding by sorting at least eight characteristics into the correct community category.
