Calculus Roller Coaster Project

Objective - Student will be able to design a roller coaster from various functions, that is continuous, and reasonably safe for riders. Students will be able to calculate velocities, acclerations, and other related concepts of derivatives.

Comprehension	Poor Student showed an understanding and connection between the roller coaster and the calculus at a low level. Student is not able to answer clarifying questions.	Fair Student showed an understanding and connection between the roller coaster and the calculus at an average level. Student is able to answer most clarifying questions.	Good Student showed an understanding and connection between the roller coaster and the calculus at a high level. Student is able to answer any clarifying questions.
Presentation	Poor Student is missing more than 2 parts of the Good categoy.	Fair Student is missing 1 or 2 parts of the Good categoy.	Good Student put a PowerPoint presentation together that shows their roller coaster, the research they did on roller coasters, their derivatives, and able to show a mathematical connection. No mistakes are made on the PowerPoint. PowerPoint has good information and is visually stimulating.
