Notebook Rubric Notebook Rubric This rubric will be used to tell you how you will be graded on keeping a notebook of all the work you do in class. You must keep a notebook of work you do everyday. This Rubric will assess how completely and efficiently you have kept your assignments, notes and handouts organized in your science notebook. Table of Contents	Beginning Notebook is very disorganized and difficult to read. It is impossible to find handouts.	Developing Notebook is somewhat organized and in order. Pages are mainly numbered and assignments are somewhat named properly and neatly.	Achieving Notebook is mostly neat and organized.Pages are numbered and assignments are named fairly well and somewhat neatly.	Excelling Notebook is neat and organized. Science notebook has table of contents is up to date and all entries are labeled correctly and neatley.
Completeness	Beginning Missing most of the required elements or many days: Vocabulary, notes, diagrams, worksheets, activities.	Developing Missing some of the required elements from each week: Vocabulary, notes, diagrams, worksheets, activities.	Achieving Contains almost all of the required elements each week: Vocabulary, notes, diagrams, worksheets, activities.	Excelling Contains all of the required elements from every day: Vocabulary, notes, diagrams, worksheets, activities.
Quality of work	Beginning Notebook has few if any assignments in it and the ones it contains are poorly done.	Developing Notebook has several assignments but lacks a substantial amount, and the ones it contains are of an inconsistent quality not very well done.	Achieving Nearly all of the assignments are in this notebook. It shows the student did a lot of work and put thought into their writing. Some assignments and notes look hurried	Excelling All assignments are in the notebook. Each assignment is clearly written, fully done, and has shows effort and quality. Notes from each day show care and consideration. It shows the student did a lot of work and put thought into their writing.
