Literary Elements Summarization Rubric 
The learner will describe in depth, when interviewed or in writing, the main character(s), setting, keys events, problem, and solution in the story, drawing on specific details in the text (e.g. character's thoughts, words, or actions). CC.4.R.L.3 CC.4.R.L.2 & HI.4.R.2.5 CC.5.R.L.3.

Student can give the important elements of the setting.
Developing

The learner can only give one element of the setting, orally or in writing.

Student can correctly describe the conflict and solution and why these are important to the story.

Student can give: the exposition, rising action, the climax, and the resolution.
