There is a beginning, middle and end.	Level 2 Some events, actions and ideas are present. The beginning, middle and end are unclear.	Level 1 There are few events, actions, and ideas. Difficult to follow flow of story from beginning to middle to end.
Conventions	Level 4 Punctuation and capitalization are correct. Words are spelled correctly.	Level 3 Punctuation and capitalization are generally correct. Most words are spelled correctly.	Level 2 Punctuation and capitalization are inconsistent. Many words are misspelled and/or spelled phonetically.
