Jingle Project

Students will create a product or work with an already existing product. Then, they will create a jingle to help sell their item. A jingle is a short, catchy song or rhythm that helps the consumers remember the product after the commercial is done. Finally, they will use FlipGrid to record a commercial for this new product and jingle.

Product	Poor Student did not create a product.	Fair Student created their product with 3 or less details of the name, how it is used, and what it looks like.	Good Student created their product with 4 - 8 details of the name, how it is used, and what it looks like.	Excellent Student created their product with 9 or more details of the name, how it is used, and what it looks like.
Jingle	Poor Student did not compose a jingle.	Fair Student composed a song or rhythm that was not consistent with their product and/or had little musical value(melody, dynamics, tempo).	Good Student composed a song or rhythm for their product, with average effort. Use of melody, dynamics, tempo, instrumentation was fair.	Excellent Student composed a song or rhythm that suited their product. The jingle was thoughtful, had a rhyme scheme or clever wordplay, was simple and unforgettable. They used melody, dynamics, tempo and instruments / voices in an above average way.
Presentation	Poor Student did not perform their jingle.	Fair Student could only perform part fo their jingle.	Good Student was able to perform their jingle with some assistance.	Excellent Student was able to perform their jingle alone or with their partner.
Commercial	Poor Student did not make a commercial using FlipGrid.	Fair Student put little effort in creating their commercial. (Product is unclear, cannot hear the speaker, laughing, etc.)	Good Student did a fair job with their commercial on FlipGrid. Product is clear, volume is good, and jingle can be heard.	Excellent Student used great effort to create a commercial on the FlipGrid. They were creative on the shooting of the commercial (different angles, extra lines from actors, special effects, etc.)
