The student will read a Canadian novel and fill in the report in the Author's point of view. They will then present their report in front of the class.

Report	Excellent Report is well written, includes complete descriptions. It is clear the student read the book and understood it. It is evident that the student located information on the author. Report has extra information.	Good Report includes all information. It is clear the student read the book. Some information was shared about the author.	Fair Report includes most of the information. It appears the student read most of the book, but might not understand it. Some information about the author is missing.	Poor Report is too vague. Does not appear the student read or understood the book. Limited or no information about the author.
Spelling and Grammar	Excellent There are little or no spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors. The author's name and the title are spelled correctly throughout! Poor The report is illegible It looks like the student threw it together at the last minute without much care. Little effort shown in favorite scene.
Completed on time	Excellent COMPLETE report, favorite scene and book brought to school, with rubric stapled on, on the due date.	Good Report completed and handed in one time; either rubric, favorite scene or book were missing.	Fair Poster completed and handed in on time; both rubric and/or favorite scene or book were missing.
