The objective of this assignment is for students to learn and review the timeline of the Earth’s geologic time scale over the last 542 million years, also known as the Phanerozoic Eon. Students are expected to make a timeline of the names of the eons, eras, periods and epochs. In addition to the the names, students need to include the appropriate timeframe for each part of this timeline and include at least 3 key events that occurred during each period of time.

Students will use classroom and personal resources to design, develop, and create a gingerbread house to use as a unit to enter in contests (as per contest guidelines).

Using persuasive images and details (vivid adjectives), create an advertisement for a friend: you get to choose the kind of friend you'd like from people who respond to your ad (so be specific!!) Choose HOW you want to market and your target audience. Decide how best you can persuade the right person/people to respond using words, pictures, video etc...

Evaluation of yearbook spread following yellow edits.

The students will put together an electronic presentation to show during their oral presentation. The presentation will contain information that the students collected regarding living off minimum wage in their assigned city.

This project allow students to demonstrate and apply the accumulated knowledge and skills for Unit 4. The website must showcase a minimum of 5 products that can be ordered directly from the website. Any templates used should be customised in line with the brand and product line.

Directions: Create a dialogue between a news reporter and an interviewee on an event that happened. Write out the dialogue and perform the skit for the class using props. Include in your dialogue and skit: -A news story that is school appropriate -Have at least 5 lengthy-sentence lines of dialogue each. -Dialogue must be memorized. -Use at least 7 preterite verbs in the dialogue using at least 4 different verbs. Also, 5 of the preterite verbs must be irregular.

DANCE PERFORMANCE RUBRIC For HS Dance Team Auditions

Create your own piece of contempory Renaissance Scupture and present it to your peers in a gallery walk style presentation.

This rubric is used to outline each individual and the groups cheerleader ability to get and keep the team's attention with a positive attitude and creative methods while teaching the chant or dance and to observe leadership and teambuilding skills.

Students will reference their novel to create a detailed map of the settings. They will mark key events from the story in the appropriate sections of the map and provide a description of these events and their significance.
