Students are to draw a city of their own creation using two-point perspective.

Each student will the project by drawing a bold and page-filling design of their name. Each name will be then divided into 16 squares, and cut apart. The name instantly became 16 tiny abstract designs featuring positive and negative space. Students will then work to reorganize their name to create an abstract composition focusing on positive and negative.

You might use text and/or any other design element available to you in photoshop. Emphasis on experimentation and attention to detail. Be prepared to discuss your strategies and to talk about your piece. Assignment due half hour before the beginning of class on due date. No late assignments will be accepted. Plan accordingly.

This rubric will assess: Students understanding of how tints and shades are created using process pigments. Students ability to control the paintbrush.
