Students will choose a province in Canada and will research its geography, history, industry, government, people, and religions; they will then compile their research into a notebook or electronic presentation with relevant pictures. Electronic presentations should be no longer than 20 slides.

Generic AP Literature and Composition essay rubric

Students will choose a specific topic to write a poem about. The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create a poem that contains 4 stanzas with 4 lines in each stanza. The poem will have a consistent rhyme scheme throghout the poem. The student will type their poem and paste it onto a piece of construction paper. On the border around the poem, the student will create symbols that represent their poem.

Students must create a script for a scene that portrays what was said between Olivia and Sebastian after he agrees to follow her to her house. The scene is to explain what happens in order for Sebastian to agree to marry Olivia so quickly in Act 4 Scene 3. The Act will then be performed in class.

Students will incorporate information from individual research investigations on a form of media persuasion into a visual representation following the specified criteria.

The presenters will put together a presentation about an aspect of Afghanistan (politics, religion, geography, and history) using electronic resources. This is used as an introduction into a study of Khaled Hosseini's The Kite Runner.

The focus is on researching a social or political issue of choice. The final copy of the paper must be typed in a plain 12 point font and must also be double spaced. Include a minimum of 3 sources. Aside from the paper itself, an annotated bibliography must be included. This page is in addition to the required length of 3-5 pages of your report. The report must be written in MLA format.
