Each student will make a constellation tube and write about the myth/history of the constellation. Details in report also should include how to find the constellation, and when it is easily seen in the sky.

The students had to design and make a constellation using a pringles can or roll from paper towels. They had to decorate it and using a nail or something similar punch holes into the can to show the constellation. The students then had to write a small story as to how the constellation got into the sky.

The essay will identify the hero and show why that person is chosen. The body of the essay will answer essential questions: Why is my selected figure a hero? How was my hero impacted by the zeitgeist or the context of the times in which he or she was living? In other words, what historical events and how did what was going on in society affect the person’s struggles/achievements? What lasting impact did your hero leave on society?

Create a board game that reflects aspects of the entire novel. Questions that show insight will earn higher marks than those that are simply recall questions. The final project should include connections between the novel and other real world or fictional experiences, luminated plot points that show the plot progression, a list of vocabulary words from the novel and their definitions and character charts that reflect the major characters from the novel.
