Rubric for the grading of the Linear Equations Water park Project

Select a name and create a company logo by graphing a variety of equations, inequalities and/or systems of inequalities. You may use: linear and quadratic functions.

Pharmaceutical companies develop medications that address important conditions like cancer and Ebola. They also develop medications for conditions that are less dire but more prevalent. You will use linear and quadratic functions to explore how much pharmaceutical companies expect to make from different drugs, and discuss ways to incentivize companies to develop medications that are more valuable to society. How should pharmaceutical companies decide what to develop?

Your task is to create a product (that you will make up) and can be sold at Collegiate and Longhorn Central. The project will focus on four main components, a business plan (written report…yes this is still Algebra class!), a financial plan, a product prototype and a marketing materials for your product. The report must be typed, 12 pt. Times New Roman font and double spaced. It must have a cover page, table of contents and a works cited page. The report must be in a report folder.

Final Exam Project

Make a poster that uses pictures to show the difference between a dependent and independent.

In this project, students must graph 12 linear equations on a coordinate plane in order to create a "stained glass" pattern. Students will choose 12 of 24 linear equations, create t-tables to find at least 3 points for each equation, and graph the corresponding line for that equation. All lines must be clearly labeled with the appropriate equation.
