Vincent Van Gogh: Line/Oil Pastel
As part of a unit on the elements of art, students will examine Vincent Van Gogh's paintings for use of line. In particular, students will examine "Starry Night", "Cafe Terrace at Night", and "Starry Night Over the Rhone". Students will create their own landscapes with oil pastel demonstrating their knowledge of line.

Students need to be able to demonstrate that they can create original works of art using the techniques and processes relevant to their chosen medium.

Scratch Art
Student will find and image, black and white, of an animal with hair. There should be some levels of high and low contrast. The image should take up most of the paper. The image will be transfered to scratch paper. Proper line direction is important. Final craftmanship should be used for the whole project.
