Write a personal introductory letter describing your interests, your summer, your goals for the semester, etc.

The student will create and present to the class the details of a particular Spanish-speaking Country.

Students will create a Spanish video or present a skit. It will consist of a reporter interviewing one or more people live at the scene of a disaster. All members of the team will contribute and participate in the presentation or video.

This is a writing project you will produce for Ch. 4. You will be writing about your childhood in Spanish using the past tenses (primarily imperfect) & vocabulary you have learned from Ch. 4.

Write 3 pargraphs of 6-8 sentences each describing your daily routine, weekend activities and special occasion days(optional).

The student will present to the class their research on a famous Latino/a and the Caribbean country from which he/she is from. This presentation will be done in Powerpoint. This information will include: a flag and a map of their country, among some country facts; principal religion, president, population, location and climate. Among some key facts about the famous person chosen: Where is he/she from? How old is the famous person? Why is he/she famous?

EQ: How do we learn about other cultures by looking at their art? Students gain an awareness of Hispanic/Latino culture in the United States and in Latin America by studying Latin American artists and their works.

Students will perform a mock interview in Spanish.

Students will write a brief essay about their friendship with a friend or relative. Then, they will include a picture and add decoration.

Student A invites his or her friends (B&C) somewhere.

Students create a skit where they discuss an accident that has occurred.

Students research one South American country (of their choosing) and give an oral presentation to the class to share their findings.
