Students demonstrate ability to use simple Spanish to identify themselves and say what things are their favorites, as well as, their likes and dislikes.

Students will create an Alphabet Book in Spanish. Include the letter, sound of the letter, word that starts with the letter and picture to represent the letter.

Design a menu from a Spanish speaking country. Restaurant must have a Spanish name and the menu must be entirely in Spanish. The menu must include Appetizers, Beverages, Desserts, and Main Dishes. Each category must have a minimum of 3 choices complete with authentic prices in the currency of that country. The menu should be visually pleasing. May be created using your choice of technology or a paper copy typed neatly. Extra Credit will be given if you make one of the foods from your menu.

You will create a fashion show all in French in groups of 3-5. You will each take turns being the commentators and the models. Your sentences describing the clothing will need to include demonstratives, clothing vocabulary, clothing color, clothing material, activities you can do in the clothing, and the seasons you can wear the clothing in. Your sentences must correspond with the clothing props you use. Please refer to the rubric below to be sure that you include all of the required elements.

Pick a famous person and write 10 sentences about that person in Spanish. The sentences must include: gender, physical characterizes, nationality or country of origin, age, profession and likes/dislikes. The poster must be done in the first person. The students will play the game "Who Am I" while presenting the posters,

You will design a Spanish menu for a new restaurant with Spanish foods. You must give your restaurant a name (in Spanish) and create the menu entirely in Spanish. The menu should include four categories (Appetizers, Entrees, Beverages and Desserts), with a minimum of three items complete with prices (in Euros). The menu should be visually pleasing with with easily identifiable headings/categories, and graphics/color photos. Menu must be typed or neatly printed in Spanish.

Students will create a photo album of their family members. The members may be in their immediate family or extended family. They must have a minimum of 5 members with extra credit given for an additional 5 members and/or pets. Each member must have a name sentence, description sentence and a sentence stating an activity they do with that member.

Students will create a poster of the "Ideal Family." The poster must be title, "La Familia Ideal." It must contain am minimum of 10 members. Each member must have a name and a description sentence. Extra credit will be given for up to 5 extra members.
