1 rubric Personal Fitness Workout Video/Presentation       popup preview  
Students have a choice to work as a small group or work on their own to create a workout video based upon the different workouts you have researched or that we have completed in class. The workout must include an objective. The video will include a warm-up, exercise session, and cool down. It must also incorporate fitness terminology and identification of muscles. The video must be 10+ minutes long and must be submitted on DVD or on a flash drive to be transferred to my computer.

2 rubric Volleyball presentation rubric       popup preview  
The students will put together a powerpoint/google slides to show during their oral presentation. The slides will contain information that the students collected regarding the sport of volleyball through internet research. The group presentation must be aligned with their assigned topics.

This assessment will be graded on your overall knowledge and effort in our volleyball tryouts, as well as the student's strategy of play. Students will also be graded on their overall athleticism during the volleyball evaluation.

Students need to learn what foods are in each food group and why we need to eat a variety of food groups. The students may struggle with understanding why we need to eat from a variety of groups because it is the first time they are hearing it.

Students keep a record of everything they eat and drink for 7 consecutive days. Students should fill in each category every day to see what their food intake actually look like.

Each student will write a (3-5 paragraph double-spaced pages) response paper on a topic concerning health in our community (e.g.,, obesity, tobacco control, air pollution, health inequities, communicable diseases, family planning, emerging populations, environment, health, disabilities, etc). I must approve topics beforehand.
