Develop a PowerPoint/Google Slide presentation and a research paper about the significant battles of the Civil War. Provide visual photo/illustrations of each battlefield. Embed video/slide show within the presentation to enhance learning. This is an 3 week course on the Civil War. Students will choose a minimum of three (3) battles to illustrate and research information on and to insert into their PowerPoint Presentation along with the corresponding research papers for each assignment.

Oral Presentation or Written Oration on the Mexican-American War slide presentation. Students have created a Google Slide Show on the Mexican-American War. This is the scoring portion of student knowledge on the overall presentation which is within a separate rubric for the slide creation.

Students will be research and present via PowerPoint the events leading up to the American Revolution and the battles fought during the American Revolution. You will need to include: When did it take place? Where did it take place? Why did it happen? Who was involved (general groups and specific major players involved)? What happened and the reactions to it? How did it lead to the Revolutionary War?

Students are placed in cooperative groups and randomly pick one of three topics: New England Colonies, Middle Colonies, Southern Colonies. Students use in class research time as well as homework to create a PowerPoint style presentation that represents their Colonial Colony group of the topics addressed in the Chapter 3 of their text.

Student will choose an ancient civilization and create a power point presentation. Student will present geographical, cultural, political, and economic information about their ancient civilization. They will compare each aspect to life in Canada. Their research will be complied into a media slideshow that will display their knowledge of their chosen ancient civilization. Students will also present an ancient artifact (art project) during their power point presentation.
