Writer consistently follows the accepted practices for either an Italian or English-style sonnet, e.g. quatrains vs. octave/sestet. Also, writer utilizes either the quatrain or octave/sestet for their accorded purpose, e.g. the final quatrain (or couplet) provides a concluding remark, etc. See pages 3 and 5 of your sonnet handout for specific information on how to do this.
