Scratch Art Rubric Students have coloured a piece of paper with a variety of colours. They then painted over their design with black paint. When the paint was dry they were asked to draw a picture by scratching off the black paint. The students were told to make there final drawing using a variety of shapes. Scratch Art Rubric
	Level 1 1 pts	Level 2 2 pts	Level 3 3 pts	Level 4 4 pts
Colour	Level 1 None or little evidence of colour.	Level 2 The student has shown Evidence of 1-2 colours. (1-2 colours are visible)	Level 3 In the students work 3-4 colours are visible.	Level 4 5 or more colours are visible in the students work.
Shapes	Level 1 The student has shown None or little evidence of shapes.	Level 2 The students work has only a few shapes used.	Level 3 The student has included at least 1 triangle, 1 circle, 1 square and 1 rectangle is used.	Level 4 The student has gone beyond curriculum expectations and has more than 1 of each shape in there artwork.
Use of no white space	Level 1 Barely any black paint is visible and a lot of white space is visible.	Level 2 The paper has been painted black but lots of white space is still visible.	Level 3 The paper has been painted black and little white space is visible.	Level 4 The student has taken care to make sure that no white space remains on the paper and the full paper is painted black.
Amount of effort used	Level 1 Little or no effort was used for this project.	Level 2 Some effort was used for this project.	Level 3 A considerable amount of effort was used for this project.	Level 4 The student has used A lot of effort was put in to this project.
