Student makes little effort to create a phrase

Student does not choose appropriate movements for A or B. The movements do not compliment the musical selection.

Student creates an ABA phrase, but does not include levels or kick ball change.

Student chooses an appropriate movement for either A and B, includes low and High movement but sometimes relies on others to change from one movement to the next.

Student(s) work individually or in a group to demonstrate their creativity in choreographing an ABA dance phrase. Student(s) chooses appropriate movement for the A and B section which includes levels high and low and uses the syncopated rhythm of the kick ball change. The movements compliment the musical selection and A phrase is completed in the beginning and end.

Student is distracted during the performance. Student Eye contact with the audience is sporadic.

Student focus on the audience is not consistent.

Student maintains contact with the audience 80% of the time. Eye contact resumes after a reminder

Student maintains focus n the audience 100% of the time.
