Design Team Challenge - Chair Lift Design Team Challenge - Cardboard Chair Students work in teams to design a chair lift made out of everyday materials that can carry a ping pong ball and a golfball up a rope line and back down in a controlled manner so that the ball does not fall out of the chair. Second task it to make it up the chair lift with an egg and have it released at the desired target. Build Constraints-Ping Pong	Poor Chair is built with found materials and was not able to make it up the chair lift holding the ping pong ball and did not slide down on its own.	Fair Chair is built with found materials and was able to make it up the chair lift holding the ping pong ball and slid part of the way down on its own.	Good Chair is built with found materials and was able to make it up the chair lift holding the ping pong ball and slide down on its own.
Build Constraints-Golf Ball	Poor Chair is built with found materials and was not able to make it up the chair lift holding the ping pong ball and golf ball and did not slide down on its own.	Fair Chair is built with found materials and was able to make it up the chair lift holding the ping pong ball and golf ball and slid half way down on its own.	Good Chair is built with found materials and was able to make it up the chair lift holding the ping pong ball and golf ball and slide down on its own.

Design Concept	Poor Design concept is not in line with thumbnail sketches with many major changes.	Fair Design concept is mostly like planned, but has some major change orders applied.	Good Design concept is exactly like planned on the thumbnail sketches with few change orders.
Presentation	Poor Chair presentation is unorganized that with the complete Design Process and Simple Machines used.	Fair Chair presentation includes the explanation of the Design Process and Simple Machines used and was lacking substance.	Good Chair presentation includes explanations of the entire Design Process and students were able to identify the Simple Machines used.
Decorated	Poor Project was not painted or completed.	Fair Project was not fully completed.	Good Project was complete with decoration.
