	Exemplary 4 pts	Proficient 3 pts	Developing 2 pts	Emerging 1 pts
Pitch Accuracy Is the student playing the correct pitches in the scale? This includes observation of the key signature.	Exemplary All scale pitches are correct.	Proficient All but one scale pitches are correct.	Developing All but two or three scale pitches are correct.	Emerging Four or more scale pitches are incorrect.
Fingerings Is the student using the correct fingerings? Bell kit - correct bar is struck.	Exemplary All fingerings are correct, and student moves between fingerings without hesitation.	Proficient All fingerings are correct, but student hesitates in moving between fingerings at least once.	Developing All but one or two fingerings are correct; student hesitates in moving between fingerings at least twice.	Emerging More than two fingerings are incorrect, and student hesitates in moving between fingerings at least three times.
