Rhythmic Counting Rubric
	Exceeding 4 pts	Meeting 3 pts	Approaching 2 pts	Not Meeting 1 pts
Rhythmic Accuracy	Exceeding Confidently performs all rhythms correctly.	Meeting Most of the rhythms are performed correctly, with few errors.	Approaching Some basic rhythms are performed correctly; however, student has challenges with some rhythms.	Not Meeting Most of the rhythms are performed incorrectly.
Tempo	Exceeding Tempo consistent throughout performance.	Meeting Slight tempo changes throughout performance.	Approaching Several tempo changes throughout performance.	Not Meeting Tempo completely inconsistent.
Completion	Exceeding Completed the rhythm on the first try.	Meeting 1 restart before completing the rhythm.	Approaching 2 or more restarts before completing the rhythm.	Not Meeting Did not finish performing the rhythm.
Counting	Exceeding Counts the entire rhythm correctly.	Meeting Counts most of the time or counts most of the rhythm correctly.	Approaching Sometimes counts or counts some of the rhythm correctly.	Not Meeting Does not count or counts the entire rhythm incorrectly.
Interpretation	Exceeding Interprets and performs all expression marks correctly.	Meeting Interprets and performs most of the expression marks correctly.	Approaching Interprets and performs some of the expressions marks correctly.	Not Meeting Does not interpret or perform the expression marks.
