Tone 5 pts	Superior Beautiful sound and intonation throughout.	Excellent Singing tone throughout with only a few notes that lack center and are not in tune.	Fair Tone is average, certain notes are out of tune or intonation problems occur at certain places (forte passages, ends of phrases)	Poor Tone lacks center; intonation is inconsistent.
Rhythm 5 pts	Superior Confidently performed all rhythms correctly, tempo is steady throughout.	Excellent Gets most of the rhythms right with only a few errors. Steady pulse for the most part.	Fair Gets some basic rhythms, but sometimes gets lost in the beat. Pulse is steady in some parts and unsteady for others.	Poor Most of the rhythms are wrong. Pulse is unstable throughout.
Note Accuracy 5 pts	Superior Confidently plays all correct pitches.	Excellent Gets most of the pitches with very few errors.	Fair Gets some of the right pitches, around half are incorrect.	Poor Most of the pitches are wrong.
Expression 5 pts	Superior Expressive dynamics, inflection that shows phrasing, vibrato that enhances phrasing.	Excellent Does not go above and beyond, but plays with some dynamics and inflection, appropriate vibrato and clear phrasing.	Fair Plays with limited dynamic range, inconsistent vibrato and phrasing that is not very clear.	Poor Plays with little dynamic change, little to no vibrato and unclear or nonexistent phrasing.
