Content (1)	Proficient (A) Covers a societal issue in-depth with close attention to detail. Excellent subject knowledge. Satire is well thought out and is effective.	Good (B) Includes essential knowledge about a societal issue. Subject knowledge is proficient. Satire is thought out and works fairly well.	Fair (C) Includes essential information about a societal issue with some factual errors. Satire is planned but awkward or ineffective in some places.	Poor (D) Information about societal issue is minimal OR there are several factual errors. There is evidence of no attempt at satire.
Originality (2)	Proficient (A) Satire shows a large amount of original thought. Ideas are inventive.	Good (B) Satire shows much original thought. Work shows new ideas and insights.	Fair (C) Satire displays use of other people's ideas (with citation), but there is evidence of some original thinking.	Poor (D) Shows little or no evidence of original thought or documentation.

Requirements (5)	Proficient (A) All of the written requirements were met: at least 4-5 paragraphs, the topic is something that can be made fun of to prove a point, and uses 2 out of the following--irony, sarcasm, and humor.	Good (B) Almost all (about 90%) of the written requirements were met.	Fair (C) Most (about 75%) of the written requirements were met, but several were not.	Poor (D) Many of the written requirements were not met.
