followed directions to sew project	Poor Student needed assistance reading instructions through entire project	Fair Student needed help with a few of the written directions to complete project.	Good Student needed no assistance in reading directions and completed the project without help.
Seams	Poor Seams are not 1/2". no seam finishes.	Fair Some seams are 1/2" and some are not. seam finishes are present but not at the edge of seam	Good All seams are 1/2" and threads are cut. Seam finishes correct.
Topstitching/ decorative stitching	Poor No topstitching is done. No embellishment added to front of bag	Fair Topstitching is not completed using a straight 1/4" seam. Embellishment added to front of bag, but stitching is poor.	Good Topstitching is completed using an accurate 1/4" seam. Threads are cut. Decorative Stitching looks good on embellished strip.
Zipper	Poor Zipper construction is poor. Will probably tear out.	Fair Zipper construction is fair and will not tear out, but doesn't look nice.	Good Zipper construction is well done. Looks very nice and will hold during much use.
Completed project	Poor Doesn't look like a zipper bag. Poorly constructed.	Fair Construction is fair. Will hold together, but doesn't look nice.	Good Very well done. Looks professional.
Time Management	Poor Not completed in a timely mannner. Student spent time poorly.	Fair Completed on time, but student wasted time using the restroom and getting drinks.	Good Student used time wisely. Came into class, got supplies out, worked during class time and cleaned up and was ready for the next class.
clean up	Poor Student left a mess.	Fair Student cleaned up only his/her area and needed to be reminded to do it.	Good Student automatically cleaned up area. Helped others clean up when needed.
