Event Sequencing	Poor Student cannot recall the story events or put them in the correct sequential order.	Fair Student can recall 1 to 2 story events and place them in the correct sequential order.	Good Student can recall 2 to 3 story events and place them in the correct sequential order.	Excellent Student can recall all story events and place them in the correct sequential order.
Summarizing Story Events	Poor Student cannot summarize story events or use accurate support from text.	Fair Student can summarize 1 or 2 story events with somewhat accurate support from the text.	Good Student can summarize 2 to 3 story events with accurate support from the text.	Excellent Student summarizes all story events with accurate support from the text.
Spelling and Grammar	Poor Student cannot convey their ideas and have more than 3 spelling errors. Sentences are not complete.	Fair Student is able to convey part of their ideas with 2 or more spelling errors. Sentences are not complete.	Good Student is able to convey ideas with 0-1 spelling errors within a complete sentence.	Excellent Student uses clear and concise sentence with no spelling errors.
