GUITAR Fingerpicking Students will fingerpick the chord progression G-C-D twice.
	POOR 1 pts	FAIR 2 pts	GOOD 3 pts	EXCELLENT 4 pts
Left hand fretting Fretting with the correct finger	POOR Student consistently does not fret with the correct fingers on each fret.	FAIR Student sometimes frets with the correct fingers on each fret.	GOOD Student mostly frets with the correct fingers on each fret.	EXCELLENT Student always frets with the correct fingers on each fret with no hesitation. Left hand is relaxed and the thumb is back.
Right hand picking Picking with the correct fingerS	POOR Student consistently does not use the correct fingers when fingerpicking.	FAIR Student sometimes uses the correct fingers when fingerpicking.	GOOD Student mostly uses the correct fingers when fingerpicking	EXCELLENT Student always uses the correct fingers when fingerpicking. Hand is relaxed and 'floats' over the sound hole at all times.
Playing correct chords	POOR Student does not play the correct chords	FAIR Student plays the chords in the correct order but not for the correct amount of time or hesitates when switching.	GOOD Student mostly plays the correct chords at the appropriate time with a little hesitation.	EXCELLENT Student always plays the correct chords at the appropriate time without any hesitation. Fingers are placed perfectly at the same time.
Playing with a steady pulse	POOR Student plays with little to no sense of pulse.	FAIR Student sometimes plays with a good sense of pulse. Some disruptions occur.	GOOD Student is mostly able to play with a consistent, steady pulse.	EXCELLENT Student's tempo is perfectly on beat and consistent throughout the entire piece.
