Group dissection	Poor Did not participate or interact with others.	Fair There was some participation, but little interaction.	Good The student helped with dissection.	Excellent The student took the lead in the group dissection and were very interactive with other students.
Knowledge of parts	Poor Student seemed to understand very little about the parts of the plant.	Fair The student seemed to know what the parts were called, but not their function.	Good The student knew the parts and knew the functions of the majority of the parts.	Excellent The student knew all of the parts of the plant as well as all of their functions.
Diagram	Poor The student did not know how to label the plant and did not know how to spell any of the parts.	Fair The student had some idea how to label the plant and its part, however there were a few errors as well as some spelling mistakes.	Good The student missed very few parts when labeling and made very few spelling errors.	Excellent The student labeled and spelled every part of the plant with accuracy.
Paragraph	Poor The student had issues with spelling grammar, and showed very little understanding of the parts of the plant.	Fair The student showed some understanding pf the parts, but there are areas of improvement and there were a few grammatical and spelling errors.	Good The student showed that they understood the parts of the plant and they wrote well, however there is room to improve.	Excellent The student eloquently described the parts of the plant with great understanding. There were no spelling or grammatical errors.
