	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
eye contact	Poor Students spent time reading or avoiding looking at the audience (ceiling, outside, walls, etc...)	Fair Student glanced ocassionally at the crowd	Good Student spent a good amount of time looking at the audience, but also spent a good amount of time trying to read off of cards/poster	Excellent Student had great eye contact with crowd. May have used note cards, but just as a reference.
volume	Poor could not understand what the student was saying...only one or two parts were heard.	Fair Only a few things that person said were clear	Good Most of the presentation was heard clearly, but there were a few things that	Excellent All parts were completely able to heard from all parts of the room
equal speaking parts	Poor one student dominated the presentation	Fair One member did the majority of the speaking. The other members of the group did very little speaking.	Good One member did most of the presentation	Excellent Each member of the group had equal speaking parts
Poster	Poor sloppy, no appeal, writing super tiny, not own work (just pasted words from the Internet on poster)	Fair Could use more care in putting together, layout has some plan. The words are small and hard to read from a distance. The person's name is not displayed	Good Poster could be slightly more neat, but effort is evident. The explorer's name is clearly displayed, the information is legible and neat	Excellent Top notch...Poster is legible, has name, all information is clear and correct
hand outs/notes	Poor hand out or notes were not enough to keep the class engage for more than 30 seconds. There are very few questions or items to fill out	Fair hand outs or notes are incomplete, inaccurate, not engaging enough (students can fill out in short amount of time)	Good Hand outs could be neater, slightly unclear or poorly selected font (hard to read), could use more of something	Excellent completely legible, good spacing, gave time to fill out appropriate information, all information is appropriate...family history is not needed.
