Islamic Art and Geometric Design 
Students will examine the text to note how different designs are used. Students will learn how to draw several different geometric patterns. Then, the students will create their own geometric design using pattern blocks, paper, and stencils. Students write about how the designs are used in the text, and write about how their own design could be used and for what.
