Jump Rope Project Rubric

Students will be completing a jump rope routine in groups. Routines will be graded based on jump rope skills, participation by jumping and twirling, memorization, transition/flow, music, time (length of routine) and cooperation/teamwork in creating the routine.

Transition and Flow Routine order flows from one to the next creating a clear beginning, middle, and end.	Exceeds Routine had minor to flawless transitions where jumpers went from one skill to the next without any interruptions to the flow of the performance. Clear beginning, middle, and end concluding the routine with a final pose.	Meets Routine had MINOR transition issues that caused slight interruptions to the overall flow of the performance. Clear beginning and middle, and may not have ended with a final pose to conclude the routine.	Approaching Routine had CONSIDERABLE transition issues that caused obvious interruptions to the overall flow of the performance. Clear beginning, but the middle and end of the routine were confusing plus hard to detect.	Does Not Meet Routine had MAJOR transition issues that caused significant interruptions to the overall flow of the performance. No clear beginning, middle or end of the routine.
Music Suggestions of songs can be requested to be provided by the teacher.	Exceeds Chosen music was provided ahead of time with song title and artist name. The song was also appropriate for school.
