Approaching Proficiency Presents some claims and findings. Some information is vague and/or may contain information that has not been concluded from research.	Proficient All graphic organizers are complete with details and specific information. Grade-level demonstration of conceptual understanding and knowledge.	Exceeds All graphic organizers complete with detailed, specific, information. Provides above grade-level conceptual understanding and knowledge.
Political/Physical Maps	Unsatisfactory Maps are not submitted. Maps are incomplete; not containing basic political and/or physical components.	Approaching Proficiency Maps are incomplete; (does not contain two or more of the basic map components: Title, Key, etc.)	Proficient Map contains all basic elements (Title/Key/Compass Rose) Maps contain correct information as to placement of cities and landforms/bodies of water.	Exceeds Maps contains all elements. Maps are neatly drawn and are correct in placement of cities, landforms and bodies of water. Map contains extra information such as political divisions, states, etc.
Presentation	Unsatisfactory Student does not complete classroom presentation.	Approaching Proficiency Student presents learning to class. Enhances audience understanding of country.	Proficient Student accurately and confidently provides grade-level appropriate information to audience. Information demonstrates conceptual understanding and knowledge.	Exceeds Student accurately and confidently provides above grade level information to audience. Information demonstrates high level of conceptual understanding and knowledge.
