Correct Note/Chords	Does not Meet Most notes, parts, or chords are played incorrectly, or student does not attempt to play assigned part for assessment piece.	Partially Meets Many notes, parts, or chords are played incorrectly, or student demonstrates little effort in being able to perform the assessment piece.	Meets Most notes, parts, or chords are played correctly, and student demonstrates effort in being able to play the correct chords, part or notes.	Exceeds Piece is played with no mistakes in notes and effort is demonstrated in interpreting the notation, part, or chords to make it musical.
Group Participation	Does not Meet Does not work toward meeting group assessment standards, or making progress at all. Student wasted most of the rehearsal time.	Partially Meets Works minimally towards meeting group assessment standards, and may often be playing material not associated with current assignment.
