Pronuniciation	Poor Does not attempt to use any correct pronunciation.	Fair 5+ oral mistakes. Hears what is wrong but does not self-correct. Responses are not comprehensible.	Good! 4-5 oral mistakes. Will self-correct at times within the test. Responses are comprehensible for the most part with few mistakes during the test.	Almost there! 2-3 oral mistakes. Responses mostly comprehensible. Pronunciation does not hinder communication. Hears and self-corrects incorrect pronunciation.	Excellent! 0 - 1 oral mistakes, but is readily understood by any listener. Hears and self-corrects any incorrect pronunciation.
Grammar Accuracy	Poor Does not attempt to use correct grammatical concepts.	Fair 6 or more mistakes. Does not place words in correct order (ex: adjectives after nouns, such as "gato blanco".	Good! 3-4 mistakes. Responses contain some correct grammar concepts but most are not developed. Student makes continued mistakes conjugating verbs.	Almost there! 1-3 mistakes. Responses are mostly appropriate and adequately developed.	Excellent! Excellent control of basic linguistic patterns.
Fluency	Poor Does not attempt beyond saying "yes" or "no" in conversation or presentation.	Fair Gives only one word responses to a direct question. Attempts to ask question, but needs to repeat it.	Good! Can answer in complete basic sentences of 3 or more words. Needs to repeat phrases or questions for clarification multiple times.	Almost there! Can answer in complete sentences of 6 or more words. The need for repetition within the test is limited. Can be understood by most listeners.	Excellent! Good command of vocabulary. Can answer and ask questions within basic dialogue structure. Can be understood by any listener.
